Drone Army: First 4 Fly Eye drones deployed to frontline
Of the total 20 Fly Eye reconnaissance drones purchased for Ukrainian forces as part of the Drone Army project, four have already been despatched to the frontline
The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine shared the news on Telegram channel.
On August 3, the first control complex and four Fly Eye drones will go to the front line for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"In total, more than 751 million hryvnias were collected for the Drone Army through the UNITED24 platform. For the first 260 million of this amount, contracts were signed for the purchase of two control stations and 20 Fly Eye drones, 78 Matrice multicopters, as well as two ground systems for 20 Warmate kamikaze attack drones", the message says.
By the end of the summer, the Ministry of Information and Communications plans to purchase 200 reconnaissance drones.
In addition, negotiations are underway with Ukrainian UAV manufacturers Skif, Skyton and Ukrjet, who will also be able to purchase drones for the Army.
Ukrainians are asked to continue to help our defenders financially: "Keep donating. Together we are creating the Ukrainian army as one of the most technological in the world and bringing the country closer to victory."
