"Two dictators will find it much easier to reach an agreement than a dictator with a democratic leader. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's condition is Syria. Russian President Vladimir Putin is already inferior to Erdogan with Syria. And Turkey’s president supplies a large amount of the Kremlin's interests: personal favours, contraband, etc.", - said Nevzlin.
The public figure added that Turkey is becoming a kind of a hub for the Russian leadership.
“The Kremlin, through oligarch Roman Abramovich, has agreed that Turkey will be a very important hub for the Russian government in all respects. For example one of the companies connected to Gazprom has bought a large clinic in Turkey. Russian businessman Yevgen Prygozhyn also pays frequent visits to Turkey and is building some sort of real estate there," Leonid Nevzlin said.
