Defence Express forecasts intensity of Russian missile attacks on Ukraine in winter
Oleh Katkov, military expert and editor-in-chief of Defence Express, believes that Russia will no longer be able to launch as many cruise missiles as a year ago
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"In October, Russia produced 115 high-precision missiles - this is the pace that Russia has demonstrated throughout the year. That is, the rate of missile production has not changed. However, in October, the enemy did not use cruise missiles as they usually do. In the summer, the Russians used 91 to 147 missiles per month. In October, the Russians launched 7 or 8 cruise missiles. This means that the enemy can use them next month," Katkov said.
According to the military expert, it is obvious that Russia will no longer be able to launch as many cruise missiles as a year ago during the Russian missile campaign.
"When over 100 missiles were fired at our country in just one day, and the average rate per week was 70 missiles. The enemy may launch Shaheds instead," Katkov suggested.
- According to Ukrainian intelligence, in October, Russia launched about 115 high-precision missiles with a range of over 350 km. In total, Russian forces have 870 such missiles in stock.
- On November 1, Russia conducted unsuccessful tests of the RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile. The test launch of the Bulava missile on October 25 was also unsuccessful.
