Criminal case opened against Diana Panchenko, former host of pro-Russian channels
A criminal case has been opened against Diana Panchenko, the former presenter of the pro-Russian NewsOne, Pershyi Nezalennyi (First Independent) and Ukrlive TV channels
Ukrainian lawmaker Yaroslav Yurchyshyn wrote about this on Facebook.
“Diana Panchenko has already received her gift - an open criminal case. Well, friends, the year 2023 is starting to bring results. In December, former host of pro-Moscow TV channels Diana Panchenko came to the Russian-occupied territories in the east of Ukraine, where she filmed a propaganda report from Mariupol and Donetsk,” he wrote.
Yurchyshyn emphasized that he himself officially drew the attention of Ukraine's Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office to this.
“The result: the Security Service has opened criminal proceedings against the propagandist. The holidays have already come, Diana. It's time to meet them at the festive table for interrogation,” he noted.
“Dear Mr. Yaroslav! The application regarding the commission of crimes against the foundations of Ukraine's national security by Diana Vitaliivna Panchenko has been considered. We inform you that the investigative department of the 2nd department (Mariupol district, Donetsk region) of the Main Directorate of Ukraine's Security Service in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions is conducting a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings № 42022050000000770 dated 12/23/2022 on the grounds of the commission of a crime provided by Part 2 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, initiated by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office on the basis of your statement.”
