Russia needs external governance to eliminate fascism — Mustafa Dzhemilev
Leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev believes that Russia is unlikely to rid itself of fascism without a period of external governance
Mustafa Dzhemilev expressed this opinion in an exclusive conversation published on Mykola Kniazhytskyi's YouTube channel.
He recalled that Germany has now become a model of democracy. And this was facilitated by the external governance established after its defeat in the war.
"The theory that the people are not to blame and only the government is guilty is wrong. Everyone is guilty. It is with their silent consent or obedience that such people came to power, so they will all bear responsibility, especially for our murdered children," stated the leader of the Crimean Tatars regarding Russians.
He says that for most Russians, the occupation of foreign territories brings satisfaction, as Putin’s rating rose after the annexation of Crimea.
"This is the patriotism of thugs! They ‘got up off their knees’ and now can take something from others! Of course, there are normal people, there is the Russian Liberation Army fighting alongside Ukrainians, but they are very few," he commented.
Mustafa Dzhemilev also noted that Russia's actions threaten global stability, demonstrating that international institutions are ineffective, which is a great tragedy for humanity.
Thus, the issue of Crimea concerns not only the Crimean Tatars but the entire global community.
"Accepting this international banditry would mean the defeat of the entire civilized world by barbarism. It would be a blow to the global order. Under such conditions, no country could be sure of its security, and international guarantees would lose all meaning," he added.
