Russian missile attack on Ukraine kills one, sparks fires across multiple regions
The UK Defense Ministry reported the information.
On January 8, Ukrainian drones attacked the Kristall oil depot in Russia, located 8 km from the Engels-2 airbase. The strike caused large fires in the fuel storage area, which, according to media reports, took several days to extinguish.
Another attack on the depot occurred on the night of January 14, reigniting the fire and further damaging the infrastructure. Analysis of satellite images from January 21 shows four destroyed tanks and ten damaged tanks containing liquid fuels."
"Repeated strikes indicate Ukraine's strengthened ability to target Russian infrastructure objects," the statement says.
