Ukrainian drones target Lukoil oil depot in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region overnight

The strike on the oil depot has been confirmed by the Ukrainian General Staff.
"This oil refinery is involved in supplying the invading Russian army. After the drone strike, a massive fire was recorded at the facility. The results and extent of the damage are being clarified," the statement says.
Earlier, NV, RBC-Ukraine, and hromadske reported the information, citing intelligence sources.
It is noted that the facility, which supports the activities of the occupying Russian forces, was attacked around midnight (local time).
Residents of Kstovo reported at least three explosions at the enterprise on social media. Instead, intelligence reports four hits on the territory of the oil depot.
As a result of the attack, the oil depot sustained significant damage, and all four UAVs fired at the Russian facility hit their targets.
Russian Defense Ministry's report
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense allegedly intercepted and destroyed 104 Ukrainian drones overnight: 47 - over Kursk region, 27 - over Bryansk region, 11 - over Smolensk region, 7 - over Tver region, 4 - over Belgorod region, 3 - over Nizhny Novgorod region, 3 - over Kaluga region, 1 - over Rostov and Leningrad regions.
Nizhny Novgorod region
The ASTRA channel reports that drones attacked the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to preliminary data, an oil depot in Kstovo was hit, according to eyewitnesses. A fire broke out there. There is no official information yet.
Smolensk region
The attack in Smolensk region was reported by the head of the region Vasily Anokhin. According to him, the drones allegedly attacked civilian infrastructure, and one drone was shot down.
“In different districts of Smolensk region, civilian objects were massively attacked by UAVs. Now the air defense and electronic warfare systems of the Russian Ministry of Defense are destroying them. According to preliminary information, one of the drones was shot down during an attempted attack on a nuclear power facility,” he said.
Tver region
Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya reported repelling an attack by 14 UAVs over the region's Toropets district. There is no information on casualties or damage.
Bryansk region
The governor of Bryansk region, Aleksandr Bogomaz, reported that the Russian Defense Ministry's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 26 airplane-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including 3 jet aircraft.
“There are no casualties. Operational and emergency services are inspecting the area,” he wrote.
Restrictions on civil aviation
Due to the threat of a drone attack, Kazan airport temporarily introduced the Carpet Plan, which led to delays in departures and arrivals, but all restrictions have now been lifted, TASS reports.
Later, Rosaviation reported that similar measures were introduced at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, where flights were also delayed due to a possible drone attack.
