Ukraine reports 91 clashes on frontline, 39 in Pokrovsk sector

According to the General Staff’s report as of 16:00, Russian artillery shelling continues to affect border areas in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Settlements such as Stara Huta, Studenok, Tymofiivka, Bobylivka, and Kamin have been hit.

Situation by sector

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian forces attacked eight times against Ukrainian positions. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Novosynove, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops launched attacks near Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Makiivka, Novolubiivka, Torske, Yampolivka, and Zelena Dolyna. Since morning, Ukrainian forces have repelled 19 attacks, with four clashes still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Russian troops attempted five assaults to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions near Verkhnokamyanske but were repelled.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy assaults near Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one Russian attack near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces launched 39 assaults against Ukrainian positions near Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Vidrodzhennia, Zvyrove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Andriivka, Dachne, and Ulakly. Ukrainian forces, holding back enemy advances, have already repelled 27 attacks. Russian troops are suffering heavy losses in this direction.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian troops launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kostyantynopil, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, and Novooceretuate. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Kharkiv, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovia sectors, the enemy did not conduct active operations.

In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks, with three clashes still ongoing. Additionally, Russian forces carried out 13 airstrikes, dropping 21 guided aerial bombs (KABs).

• On January 28, 193 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Russian forces launched 88 assaults.
