Russia does not launch attacks for two weeks in Lyman sector
Senior Lieutenant, spokesperson of the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Rostyslav Yashchishyn, reported that Russian forces have not made any attempts to attack the brigade's positions for over two weeks
He shared this information on Espreso TV.
"The situation on our front has changed a bit. For more than two weeks, Russian occupiers have not carried out any assault operations on our brigade’s positions. They haven't even attempted to launch an attack. The situation that we experienced throughout 2024 and at the beginning of this year has changed. Now the enemy understands that they have no chance on our front. They’ve lost thousands of soldiers and a significant amount of their equipment has been destroyed. As a result, they are trying to attack in the northern part of the Lyman direction," Yashchishyn said.
The spokesperson emphasized that units from the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade are assisting other brigades in repelling enemy assaults on other fronts.
"Our UAV battalion is very actively helping our servicemen from other brigades to repel enemy assaults. So, we are observing a certain calm on our front. These are actually very unusual events compared to last year," he added.
