Ukraine's MoD delivers first batch of Ukrainian-made trucks to army under state guarantees
The Ministry of Defense has delivered nearly eighty Ukrainian-made trucks to the military, which will be used for special and combat tasks
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The relevant government contract was signed in December 2024, and in January of this year, the Ministry of Defense received nearly eighty trucks with 4x4 and 6x6 wheel configurations, capable of carrying personnel and military cargo. The localization of production for these vehicles in Ukraine exceeds 50%, according to the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry also noted that the defense and security enhancement program, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Cabinet of Ministers, has a positive impact on the development of the domestic economy and creates a multiplier effect.
Through the state budget and bank loans, the program helps support Ukrainian manufacturers and engages citizens in the creation of value-added products.
"In 2024, the Ministry of Defense focused on the procurement of military equipment for rear support under state guarantees: armored vehicles and medevacs, specialized cargo vehicles, laundromat complexes, fuel tankers, etc. In 2025, we will focus on acquiring means of destruction to inflict as much damage as possible to the enemy," emphasized Hlib Kanievskyi, Director of the Ministry of Defense's Procurement Policy Department.
