British intelligence names reason Russia's deputy defense minister was dismissed
Russian Deputy Defense Minister Mikhail Mizintsev's dismissal is evidence of the Russian army's logistical problems
This was reported by the British Ministry of Defence on Twitter.
British intelligence notes that on April 27, social media associated with the Russian military announced that Russia's Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, had been dismissed. He was in charge of logistics and had been in post for only eight months.
British analysts noted that Mizintsev's sacking was not immediately confirmed, but speculation about his future emphasizes that logistical problems remain at the heart of Russia's struggling campaign in Ukraine.
Russia does not have enough ammunition to succeed in its offensive. The lack of ammunition causes internal divisions, especially between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Wagner PMC.
"Russia continues to give the highest priority to mobilizing its defense industry, but it is still failing to meet war time demands. While Russia's political leaders persist in demanding success on the battlefield, Russia's logistics professionals are stuck in the middle," the British intelligence concluded.

On May 1, the Institute for the Study of War explained that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is trying to shift responsibility for the failures in Ukraine to the generals by means of a constant rotation in the military leadership.
