Book of testimonies from Bucha occupation published in Vinnytsia
A memoir “Bucha diary. Notes from the basement”, written by the editor-in-chief of Literary Ukraine paper Serhiy Kulida, was published in Vinnytsia. The book tells the story of the first 3 weeks of Russian occupation
Ukrinform reported on the publishing.
"The notes contained in the book are a chronicle of the events that took place during the first three weeks of the war in a confined space: in a house, a basement and the high-rise building on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Boulevard,” the author said upon the release.
He notes that this book is the story of the "reverse evolution" of people.
"From civilians who happily lived in the countryside near Kyiv to creatures who are fighting for survival and the salvation of their children," the statement reads.
The main focus of the book is on the psychological state of people who are starting to get used to explosions, corpses on the streets, basement life in shelters and the lack of food, water, internet, and necessary medicines.
