Bloomberg: Ukraine can get GPS long-range missiles in 9 months
The new US aid package will include GLSDB - smart missiles with a range of up to 150 km and GPS guidance. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will not receive them until the fall, however
It is reported by Bloomberg with reference to officials.
A new US aid package will be announced on February 3: it will include GPS-guided GLSDB cruise missiles manufactured by Boeing-Saab. Missiles with aerial bombs which can hit targets at a distance of up to 150 km will be financed by the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
It is noted that, just like other equipment supplied by the US and the allies, it will not be deployed in Ukraine anytime soon: an industry official told Bloomberg that the first deliveries will take about nine months to arrive after concluding a contract.
