Biden plans appeal to Putin, Russians
During his visit to Poland next week, US President Joe Biden will address Russian President Vladimir Putin
US Security Council spokesman John Kirby said this.
“But I think you’ll hear messages in the President’s speech that will certainly resonate with the American people, will certainly resonate with our allies and partners, without question resonate with the Polish people who have done so much and continue to do so. And I would suspect that you’ll hear him messaging Mr. Putin as well, as well as the Russian people,” John Kirby said.
In addition, the speaker also denied rumors that the United States might reduce support for Ukraine and its other partners in Europe. According to him, only a few House Republicans are opposed to the aid.
“This is not how the president sees it. If you talk to the House leadership, you won't hear that. And you certainly won't hear it from the Democrats. And you won't hear it in the Senate,” Kirby assured.
According to the speaker, there is bipartisan support in the US parliament for the position that Ukraine should continue to be assisted.
“We are all doing this together. And the support of the Congress has really been extraordinary. And the president hopes that this support will continue,” he said.
