How many missiles can Russia use in one attack? Aviation expert names maximum number
Aviation expert Kostiantyn Kryvolap says that Russian troops are capable of launching 100-120 missiles in one air attack
He said this on Espreso TV.
“Russia's stockpile of missiles and Shaheds doesn't provide for logistical delivery to the intended targets. Whether the Russians have these 850-900 missiles or not, they are capable of launching up to 100-120 missiles in one launch. They are logistically and technically incapable of restarting and launching the same wave in a day or two, they do not have this capability. They have Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles. I'm not talking about Kh-22, because they can't always reach us, and there are also Kalibrs that can be launched from the Caspian Sea or the Black Sea. In addition, the enemy has 46 Iskander missile systems along our northern border, which can fire both ballistic and cruise missiles. They also have Shaheds," the aviation expert commented.
In his opinion, Russia cannot launch more than 500 Shaheds in a month, because the production capacity and delivery capacity of what they buy from Iran is no more than 500 per month.
"As for the missiles, all cruise missiles must be programmed, prepared, and stitched where they need to be, and we also need to analyze how the previous wave of missile attacks went: where they hit, where they were shot down, and where air defense systems were located. Remember, last year there were no less than 7 days between attacks, or even 10 days. And this is due to logistics, to the delivery of these missiles to the airplanes at the airfields. That is, all the logistics and retraining takes anywhere from a week to 10 days," explained Kryvolap.
According to him, it should be noted that the Russian forces are also firing S-300 and S-400 in the Kharkiv region, which is terrorism and sadism, but this is a separate topic and the means of counteraction are completely different.
"As for our air defense, we are now reinforcing mobile groups. Let's recall the last powerful attack on Kyiv, when there were 75 Shaheds launched within 8 hours from three points: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Cape Chauda, and Kursk region. That is, they had to launch 75 missiles, 5 in a container, from three points -15, respectively, from each point they launched three containers on average. That is, they need to go somewhere, take this container and bring it to the launch area, connect everything and launch. In 8-9 hours, the enemy can process three containers from a point. This power of 75 Shaheds that were launched from three points within 9 hours is probably all. And the spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, said that about 40 of the 75 were shot down by mobile groups. We need to raise the number of such mobile groups higher, because this is the cheapest and easiest way to destroy Russian drones and cruise missiles," the expert summarized.
- On November 25, Russia launched a combined attack on Ukraine, using missiles and UAVs. The largest attack on Kyiv since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion leaves 5 people injured and destruction in a number of districts. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 74 out of 75 drones.
- On the morning of December 8, the Russian troops launched cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers. They were moving through the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions to the Kyiv area. During the missile attack, the Russian army launched 19 Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles at Ukraine, 14 of which were shot down by air defense.
