At least 6 injured as Russia attacks residential area of Dnipro city
On the morning of Saturday, November 26, the Russian forces shelled the Dnipro city damaging 7 houses
This was announced at 12:01 p.m. by city’s mayor Borys Filatov.
"According to preliminary data, after the attack, city communications and infrastructure were not damaged. There is an automatic shutdown of several transformer substations,” the mayor of Dnipro said on Telegram.
"The emergency services have already all left for the place," Filatov added.
The locals claimed that there were repeated explosions and that a private one-story building allegedly suffered from the first hit.
At 12:36 p.m., the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Valentyn Reznichenko, provided the updated data on the consequences of the Russian shelling:
"At the moment, we know about 7 partially destroyed private houses. The explosion caused a fire. A woman was injured. She was pulled out from under the rubble and taken to the hospital."
Later it became known about 6 victims. One person is in serious condition.
As photos of Ukraine’s National Police show, the Russian forces fired at a residential area. A fire broke out on the spot.
"The enemy hit the homes of civilians in the city," law enforcement officers note.
The air raid alert continued in Dnipro from 11:39 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
