Almost 80% of Poles consider Russia a threat and are ready to help Ukraine
More than three-quarters of Poles believe that Russia's war against Ukraine threatens the security of their country, about the same number think that Poland should accept refugees from Ukraine
These are the results of the latest poll by Center for Public Opinion Research, Polish Radio reports.
In December, the number of Poles who considered the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine a danger to their country increased by 3% compared to November - to 78%. At the same time, according to 18% of respondents, Poland is not threatened by war.
Meanwhile, 43% of respondents are convinced that war will not spread to other countries. 29% of respondents have different opinions on this matter.
According to 73% of survey participants, Poland can count on allies to protect its borders, while 20% do not have such confidence.
Almost half of Poles (49%) consider NATO's actions in relation to Ukraine appropriate in the context of Russian aggression. Instead, 36% called them too cautious, and only 4% - excessive.
The vast majority of respondents (79%) believe that Poland should accept refugees from Ukraine, 15% oppose it.
At the same time, 52% of respondents said that they or their relatives provide aid to Ukraine. In the opinion of 64%, Polish aid to Ukraine is sufficient, 29% consider it too much, and 3% - too little.
Survey was conducted from November 28 to December 11 and covered 1,018 adult residents of Poland.
