Aircraft, 13 tanks, 40 armored vehicles and 1,270 soldiers: Russian losses in Ukraine in 24 hours

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to December 6, 2023, amounted to:

• personnel - about 335,110 (+1270) people,
• tanks - 5,600 (+13)
• armored fighting vehicles - 10,456 (+40)
• artillery systems - 8024 (+37)
• MLRS - 919 (+6)
• air defense systems - 605 (+0)
• aircraft - 324 (+1)
• helicopters - 324 (+0)
• UAVs of operational-tactical level - 6083 (+51)
• cruise missiles - 1570 (+0)

General Staff report: Defense Forces repel Russian attacks in 7 sectors

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in its morning report.

• Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly.
• In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
• In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske, Luhansk region.
• In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces fended off 26 Russian attacks in the areas of Serebryanske forestry, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Terny, Spirne, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Donetsk region.
• In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops withstood 10 Russian troops' assaults in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting casualties in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.
• In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the invading Russian forces, which are trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled 25 enemy attacks in the areas east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, northeast of Berdychi, Avdiivka, Sieverne, and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region.
• In the Marinka direction, Defense forces continued to deter the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where Ukraine's defenders repelled 18 attacks.
• In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the area south of Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region.
• In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Defense forces repelled all attacks by Russian troops trying to regain their lost ground in the areas west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region.
• In the Melitopol direction, The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the invading forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting Russian troops.
• In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continue to conduct counter-battery combat and inflict fire on the enemy's rear.

Russian army launched 4 missile strikes and 104 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine

Over the past day, 97 combat engagements took place. In total, the Russian troops launched 4 missile strikes and 104 air strikes, fired 101 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. 

In addition, at night, they attacked Ukraine once again, using 50 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 41 attack UAVs.

Air strikes were carried out in Kostobobriv, Chernihiv region; Novodmitrivka, Sumy region; Ivanivka, Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Spirne, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Oleksandropil, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region; Tyahyntsi, Krynky, and Lvove, Kherson region.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 2 electronic warfare stations and 11 Russian artillery pieces

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 15 strikes on manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters, 4 on control points and 3 on Russian air defense systems. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

The missile troops struck 6 personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration areas, 1 control center, 1 ammunition depot, 2 electronic warfare stations and 11 enemy artillery pieces.

• Analysts at the Institute for War Studies suggest that the Ukrainian military advanced east of the railroad tracks in the area of the Avdiivka Coke Plant and forced the enemy to withdraw from two positions.
