Trump supports plan to halt US military aid to Kyiv unless peace talks with Moscow begin
If Donald Trump wins the US presidential election, he may cut off US military aid to Ukraine unless there are negotiations with Russia
Reuters reported the information.
Two of Donald Trump's key advisors have presented him with a plan to end Russia's war in Ukraine if he wins the presidential election. The plan includes offering military assistance to Ukraine on the condition that Kyiv engages in peace talks with Russia.
At the same time, one of Trump's national security advisors, Keith Kellogg, said that the United States would warn Moscow that any refusal to negotiate would lead to increased US support for Ukraine.
According to the plan developed by Kellogg and Fred Fleitz, a ceasefire is supposed to be established during peace talks, based on the existing contact lines.
According to Fleitz, the former president reacted positively to the plan.
“I'm not claiming he agreed with it or agreed with every word of it, but we were pleased to get the feedback we did,” he said
At the same time, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung said that only statements made by Trump himself or authorized members of his campaign should be considered official.
