Netherlands to allocate €2 billion in military aid for Ukraine this year — Rutte
In 2024, the Netherlands will allocate 2 billion euros in funding for military assistance to Ukraine, which will include support for the Czech initiative and F-16 equipment
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said this on March 21 during the Kyiv Security Forum.
According to Rutte, this funding includes 250 million euros for the Czech Republic's initiative to buy artillery shells.
"This is not our last contribution. We are also working hard to ensure that 24 Dutch F-16 aircraft are in the skies over Ukraine as soon as possible," Rutte said.
He also emphasized that accountability and restoration of justice after the war is equally important. This is the most significant part of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, Rutte said.
The Prime Minister added that on April 2, the Netherlands will co-organize a conference "Restoring Justice for Ukraine" in The Hague.
"The purpose of the event is to summarize what has been achieved and determine what will happen next," Rutte said.
