Enough with infantilism

I'm sick of infantilism. Have we now chosen the path of Georgia, and will we be constantly moving towards anti-Western sentiment and Euroscepticism?

What bad Western partners they are, shooting down missiles over Israel and not over us. This is double standards, and we are shouting it from the rooftops.

Why should the standards be the same? Or approaches? Does someone owe us something? Were we promised to shoot down missiles? Does the United States have the same level of agreements with Ukraine as with Israel? And this is despite the fact that everyone in Israel constantly complains that the United States does not support them enough.

And is it difficult to understand that it is easier to dare to shoot down missiles over Israel than over Ukraine? After all, there are some bearded mujahideen shooting over there, and here are Russians. Who have nuclear weapons.

“And the main priority of the civilized world is to prevent a direct clash with Russia. Because no one wants a nuclear war. Even if its probability is minimal. But the risks are too great, and so this probability is taken into account. We would have the same priority in their place.”

And yes, NATO is a powerful bloc that ensures the security of its members. Not Ukraine's. So, surprisingly, they think about their own security first. And that is why we want to join NATO. To ensure that our security is reliably provided. And instead, we are mocking NATO for being pussies? Really? So why do we keep going there? Maybe because they are strong and smart, and we would like to be with them. And if we were in NATO, we would behave the same way toward a third country.

So where are these cries coming from?

Or is this a poor comparison of Western aid to Russian cooperation with North Korea? The West provides $100 billion in aid to Ukraine every year. Without this help, we would be running through the forests in the Carpathians with berdankas. Or we would be washing dishes in Europe or elsewhere and complaining that we failed again. Or we would be living under an occupation administration like in Belarus and convincing ourselves that it is possible to live like this, and people live like this, but at least without migrants and gays.

North Korea sells its services to Russia. For money. As they have done everywhere else in the world for the last 70 years. Because that's the only thing they can sell. The only thing that the Juche country produces, where there is nothing to eat, is the shells they stockpile and the hungry people for whom even Ukrainian captivity is better than life in North Korea. Korea is neither a partner nor an ally of Russia, they are contractors. They provide services for money. And Russia spends this money. Don't you feel there is a difference with Western assistance?

Could the West help better? Don't they have other problems over there? Don't they have other things to spend money on?

This is another one of our tricks. We tell people that the West is afraid of defeating Russia. We invented it ourselves and tell everyone ourselves. As if somewhere now there is a prospect of Russia's surrender and its collapse.

“And the West does not think about it. Because it does not see such a prospect. Why should it be afraid of the Ukrainian illusion that we feed ourselves? The West is not afraid of Russia's defeat, the West is afraid of Russia's nuclear bombs. That's all. And we would be just as afraid of it in their place.”

Why, instead of saying "thank you," do we start spreading Russian propaganda and anti-Western sentiment? It will turn out that the West is bad and Russia is good. You say it's nonsense? Then look at Georgia. They're telling it like that right now on TV from the government offices. Do you like this? Or do we want it to be like Orban's? Orban is already in the EU, so he can afford to simultaneously shout about how bad Europe is and sit on the sucker of Brussels, which provides a high standard of living.

And yes, theoretically, the West could help more. If the politicians were to put their heads together and risk their careers. They would convince their societies that rising prices are not so important, it is important to help Ukraine. By the way, you could even try to sell that in Ukraine. And it would be difficult. And we are at war. And they don't have a war. And it will not be in the near future. Because Russia, which can barely afford a creeping offensive against Ukraine, will never get involved with a strong one. And NATO is strong.

“So the West's assistance to Ukraine is a wish, not an urgent need. Could they do more? We could, but this is the position of someone who is sitting on their neck and saying that everyone and everything owes them. Especially against the background of how proud the Ukrainian authorities are of how they do not fulfill the requests and reforms of their partners.”

They used to say: "Those damn Americans are forcing us to raise tariffs, but we are resisting," and now we are proudly resisting: "These Americans are forcing us to mobilize young people, but we are resisting." As if it is the Americans who need market tariffs in Ukraine the most. And as if it wasn't the Ukrainian military that constantly emphasized that, as in all wars of mankind before, they would like to see young and healthy people in their ranks, not old men with chronic diseases.

“So we want European and American politicians to make unpopular decisions, while we engage in populism? This is a great plan. It is very inspiring to help.”

And then we say that Ukraine's Victory Plan depends entirely on its partners. In this case, shouldn't we listen to our partners? Shouldn't we take steps when G7 ambassadors say something and then do the opposite? Or is the plan to love us strongly and devotedly, no matter what we do? Why, if our plan for victory is a story that is completely dependent on our allies, do we not do everything to make sure that those allies try to help us? It's either to the beautiful or to the smart. Either we defend the right to sovereign corruption and sovereign stupidity (sovereign populism), or we say that our plan for victory is completely dependent on the West.

Enough of this infantilism.
