AFU destroy near Bakhmut both Wagner PMC and Potok PMC – military expert Sniehyrov
Military expert Dmytro Sniehyrov notes that the Potok PMC has been supposed to cover the Wagner fighters, but as a result of successful attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Potok members flee
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Regarding the situation near Bakhmut, all the reports of Russian military correspondents allegedly from the scene that they pushed through the Ukrainian defense in the area of Khromove and the advanced units of the Russian army entered this settlement are not true. Nevertheless, the Bakhmut - Khromove - Chasiv Yar highway is under fire control, the situation is quite complicated," noted the military expert.
Sniehyrov drew attention to the statement of the Kremlin criminal Prigozhin that it was in this area that the Ukrainian military actually eliminated another PMC called Potok, which was associated with Gazprom and supposed to cover Wagner PMC.
"But as a result of successful attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, these Potok members fled to the rear, forgetting their accomplices, and this allowed Ukrainian defenders to maintain control over the highway and the settlement. As for the occupiers' pressure in the area of Ivanivske, it is the enemy's attempt to take control of the Bakhmut - Kostiantynivka road, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces also hold strong positions. Fierce fighting continues in the city itself, in the area of the so-called Litachok and Elevator, as well as the Bakhmut Technical College. The Ukrainian Armed Forces control all the western districts of the city, which are a solid line of defense, so the enemy's advance has been effectively halted. We need to say real things, the situation is difficult," Sniehyrov commented.
