29-year-old medic Yana Rykhlitska is killed near Bakhmut
Yana "Yara" Rykhlitska, a 29-year-old medic with the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, died near Bakhmut while evacuating wounded soldiers for treatment
Volunteer Tania Vlasiuk reports this.
Rykhlitska worked as a medic at the Bakhmut stabilization center, and was actively involved in volunteer activities.
"When Ukraine wins, remember that half of the work was done by her. That's right. I don't know a unit that wouldn't be grateful to her," writes another friend of the deceased, Tetiana Zenart.
She said that the medical evacuation vehicle came under fire.
"The stabilization point is a place where the wounded receive treatment before being transported to medical facilities. I can't even fathom the number of wounded soldiers there. But when I asked about their well-being, Rykhlitska responded with a message that said, "So far it's fun, we’re safe." However, a few hours later, the medical evacuation vehicle that she was in came under enemy fire,” the message says.
