Military expert Zgurets tells about most difficult area near Avdiivka
Defense Express CEO Serhiy Zgurets notes that Avdiivka will remain a hot spot in the frontline
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The Avdiivka direction remains one of the most tense. The enemy launched a long-awaited third wave of mechanized and armored assaults on Avdiivka. The process of enemy attacks on Avdiivka continues even after its losses, the enemy's pressure does not decrease. The enemy is trying to move towards Stepove through the railroad. There was a video of the 47th Mechanized Brigade destroying the enemy with an infantry fighting vehicle. After that, the enemy started moving north towards Keramik, trying to expand the flank zone beyond the railroad," notes Zgurets.
According to the military expert, the most difficult area is the gap between Avdiivka and Yasynuvata.
"The enemy used a military trick there. He came to the surface by digging and blowing up. The Russian military used this undermining to get to the surface within Ukrainian positions and gain a foothold, which partially affected the situation in the fighting. The Russian troops also try to enter the coke plant, but are knocked out and eliminated there. The fence around the coke plant is covered with Russian bodies. Avdiivka will continue to remain a hot spot on the frontline," added Zgurets.
- Major Maksym Morozov, an officer with the Freedom Legion, noted that the enemy is attacking Avdiivka from all sides and is actively working towards the industrial zone.
- On November 23, the Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks at the Kupyansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The Armed Forces also eliminated 1,100 Russian soldiers.
