Ukrainian MP calls for strengthening all ties with Poland
Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Olena Kondratiuk, stressed the need to keep strong ties with Poland, noting that Warsaw is one of Ukraine's main allies
Kondratiuk stated this is the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko.
She noted that during the full-scale invasion, Poland provided over $6.5 billion in assistance to Ukraine. Additionally, she called Warsaw "an incredible advocate for us on the global stage."
"This means that Poland is a major supplier and serves as a key artery for our military structure. It’s a significant hub of support for Ukraine,” the MP stated.
Kondratiuk noted that Poland's presidency of the EU in 2025 could help accelerate Ukraine's ongoing negotiation process. She stressed the need to keep strong ties with Poland at all levels: government, parliament, and among the public.
“We also urge our Polish friends to listen when we speak about the need to honor our Ukrainian Insurgent Army soldiers who died on the territory of modern Poland with dignity and by name. This specifically relates to the memorial plaque on Monastir Mount,” Kondratiuk added.
