On August 3, German and Swedish fighter jets intercepted two Russian Su-30 aircraft over the Baltic Sea

The German Air Force reports.
"Together with NATO partner Sweden, two German Eurofighters from NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission were deployed today for an Alpha Scramble. Two Russian Su-30s were detected. The Russian pilots behaved uncooperatively but not aggressively," the German Air Force said.
NATO’s Baltic Air Policing is responsible for safeguarding the skies over the Baltic and adjacent international airspace. Since April 2004, NATO and its Allies have been providing air control in the region. Currently, seventeen Allies have deployed their fighter jets as part of this mission.

On July 24, American and Canadian fighter jets intercepted several Russian and Chinese military aircraft near Alaska.
