Republicans will resist Biden's withdrawal

That is, whether he was deliberately waiting for Trump to nominate his vice president and thereby finally determine the direction of his campaign.

The question that will soon be answered is who Mrs. Harris will nominate as her vice president.

No, I don't expect anyone else to be able to overtake her as a consensus figure.

But now a whole new game begins, no matter how much the Republicans resist... Biden's withdrawal from the race (he was too convenient a sparring partner for them!). And no one can blame Biden for not doing everything he could... for his party to win.

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but if Trump loses the election and traditionally does not admit defeat, it will be Biden who will be in charge of handling this situation. And his hands will be tied, in particular, by the recent decision of the US Supreme Court regarding Trump's (in)responsibility for the January 6, 2021, riots.

In short, intrigue has returned to the US presidential election. And not just one intrigue…
