Bloomberg reported the information, citing a statement from Netanyahu's office.
It is noted that Netanyahu's representative returned from Moscow on the morning of September 1, where discussions regarding the hostage issue took place.
According to media reports, the government of Russian leader Vladimir Putin is in contact with Hamas regarding the fate of hostages who have Russian citizenship.
Bloomberg also emphasizes that Israel's appeal to Russia for help in making progress on a hostage deal comes as efforts by the United States, Qatar and Egypt to secure a truce with Hamas are making slow progress.
- Earlier it was reported that the United States is negotiating with Egypt and Qatar on the outlines of a final deal on a "take it or leave it" basis after Hamas killed 6 hostages.
