Belarus capable of producing Shahed drones — human rights activist Stryzhak
Andrej Stryzhak, a Belarusian human rights activist, highlighted that enterprises within the Belarusian military-industrial complex have retained practices from the Soviet era, which means they still possess the necessary factory facilities for the production of Shahed drones
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
“Regarding Belarus' involvement in the production of Shaheds, I note that before the war in Donbas, Ukraine and Belarus had joint projects in the aerospace industry. First of all, it concerned missile technology, but not only that, because Belarus has aircraft repair plants with the capacity to produce avionics or other equipment. Therefore, I can assume that some elements of the Belarusian military-industrial complex, which are de facto already part of the Russian military-industrial complex, can produce such things. It is possible,” said the Belarusian human rights activist.
Andrej Stryzhak also mentioned that Belarus is home to the Gomel Radio Plant, which has maintained developments since the Soviet era, enabling it to produce similar technologies.
