Some Russia-friendly countries offer their own communication channels: Ukrainian Ombudsman on Peace Summit
During the Peace Summit in Switzerland, Ukraine received offers of assistance regarding abducted Ukrainians from countries loyal to the Kremlin
Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, said this on the United News telethon.
According to him, the results of the discussion due to the closed regime of the meeting make it possible to talk about developing new approaches to the release of Ukrainians abducted by Russia.
Lubinets added that such a regime allowed many representatives of the countries to express their true opinion on Russia's actions.
"By the way, it is unexpected that some countries that traditionally have good relations with Russia have for the first time stated that they are ready to offer their channels of communication with the Russian side. I cannot name these countries yet, but I will say honestly that we did not expect such positions from such countries," Lubinets said.
