Ivan Kyrychevskyi, Defense Express expert, said that after the delivery of Western systems, Ukraine's air defense will increase the rate at which it shoots down Russian missiles to at least 70%.

He shared his opinion with "Espreso.TV" live on air channel.

"We can allow ourselves some optimism here and assume that if we add all the means of destruction that we will receive, even these relatively new HAWK complexes, the latest IRIS-T, the soon-to-arrive NASAMS, and even the French Crotal, then it is obvious that Ukrainian Air Defense will return to its quality standard - at least 70% of downed cruise missiles" - Ivan Kyrychevskyi said.

The Defense Express expert is convinced that Ukraine will shoot down at least 70% of Russian missiles even under the conditions that Russia will conduct such massive attacks as on October 10-11.

"We will shoot down at least 70% of Russian missiles even under the conditions when the Russians will try to commit so-called oversaturation, that is, as they did on October 10-11. At that time, the Russians did all this: they fired missiles en masse, and false targets. At that time, it turned out that the anti-aircraft defense shot down 50% of the missiles, which in principle is still a very high result, considering the activity of the Russians. Western weapons will obviously help to raise our rate of shooting down missiles to at least 70%" - he noted.
