West does not want to see China as negotiator and peacemaker – Feygin

Russian opposition politician and lawyer Mark Feygin noted that the West has repeatedly loudly indicated that China should return to Southeast Asia to solve a bunch of its problems

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"The West really doesn't like China's mediation. They have loudly told them many times to go back to Southeast Asia and solve their own problems there, North Korea alone is worth it, and you are meddling in Eastern Europe. China usually doesn't respond to this, but this is the position – the West doesn't want to see China as a negotiator and peacemaker. It's clear that China is competing for primacy. But, on the other hand, China has suddenly turned into an equal partner of the collective West, not just the United States, but all of them. Isn't it China that primarily depends on the trade turnover of the United States and Europe? Therefore, the West naturally does not agree to this. The West is an ally of Ukraine, which is defending its sovereignty," the oppositionist noted.

Mark Feygin noted that Ukraine should take advantage of all the opportunities provided by the West: military, economic, political, geopolitical, etc.

"These are completely different relations, different from the relations between Beijing and Moscow, they are based on completely different principles. It cannot be compared. In the context of the collective West, there is indeed a primacy of the United States because of its power, importance, and historical mission. And China, which, with regard to its satellites, knows what policy it is pursuing. Still, the West is part of the civilized world, of freedom, political democracy, economic competition, and human rights protection. The opposite is the Xin civilization. There is no ideological confrontation here, as there was between the USSR and the United States, when there was an ideological difference between Marxists and supporters of the free world. Today, it's different: Western and Eastern civilizations, the Xin civilization, are in opposition. And Moscow's joining it does not imply any ideological unity, it implies civilizational unity. Russia should move to the situation of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang Uyghuristan, with concentration camps and studying Mao's quotations," Feygin commented.
