Belgium recognizes the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people

The House of Representatives of the Belgian Parliament recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.

“Historic vote in the Belgian House of Representatives: another state has recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tweeted.

Zelenskyy thanked Belgium for this important decision, “for this deeply symbolic step today.”

About 20 explosions occur in Mariupol

The explosions were reported between 3:55 pm and 4:30 pm. Immediately afterwards, mobile communication was lost in the Kalmius district. A helicopter took off in one of the districts of Illich Steel and Iron Works and small arms fire began.

Ukrainian Armed Forces strike at enemy units in Berdiansk

The enemy continues to suffer losses. In the city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of fire damage to enemy units, local medical facilities are overcrowded with wounded Russian soldiers. 

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff, all patients have been discharged from the gynecological department and 30 wounded Russian soldiers have been admitted. The surgical and ENT departments accommodated 80 seriously wounded invaders.

Border guards repel two attacks in the Bakhmut direction

In the Bakhmut direction, border guards destroyed groups of Russian soldiers who attacked Ukrainian positions.

“Mortar launchers hit the enemy infantry on the routes of movement and in shelters. The offensive was interrupted by a sniper pair of border guards. They eliminated the occupier, who was bringing the reserve to the contact line. Having lost their bearings, the 10 assault troops hid behind a destroyed building. There they were struck by border guards and mortar launchers,” the border guards said. 

In another direction, but also in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian UAV operators successfully dropped ammunition on Russian positions.

The munition destroyed an occupying Russian forces' dugout and an anti-tank missile system. In total, the border guards managed to kill 24 enemy soldiers and wound 27 more.
