United24 donor-funded ambulances will be delivered to 5 regions of Ukraine
Doctors in five Ukrainian regions will receive 15 ambulances: they were purchased for funds raised as part of the United24 initiative
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
It is noted that the C-type ambulances will be provided to the emergency medical care and disaster medicine centres of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Lviv, Volyn and Chernivtsi regions. The price of each vehicle is UAH 2 million 600 thousand.
The ambulances are equipped with oxygen cylinders, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs and artificial lung ventilation devices.
"The C-type ambulance is, so to speak, an intensive care unit on wheels. Thus, even more Ukrainians will be able to receive emergency medical care, and medical workers will be able to quickly bring patients to the hospital and save their lives," said Maria Karchevych, Deputy Minister of Health for Digital Development.
She reminded that during the Russian full-scale invasion, Russian occupiers damaged 103 ambulances, destroyed 253 and seized another 125.
- Over the 12 months of the United24 initiative, people from 110 countries have donated almost UAH 1.4 billion to support Ukraine's healthcare system.
- As of 25 July, and since the launch of the initiative, UNITED24 has managed to purchase the largest batch of ambulances - 40 reanimation vehicles.
