Ukrainian version of "Wrath and Vengeance". What will it look like?

The Ukrainian version of the Israeli Wrath of God operation will require several mandatory components, because the world is now multipolar, not bipolar, as in the 1970s

50 years ago, the Mossad Wrath of God operation was launched. For more than 20 years, Israeli special services have been searching, finding and destroying the persons involved in the organization of the terrorist attack against the Israeli weightlifting team during the Olympics in Munich. The public demand for the punishment of Russian inhumans in Ukraine was formed in the spring of 2022, but its implementation must be approached responsibly and pragmatically.

The world has changed significantly over these 50 years and will continue to change. We should not exclude, in particular, the disintegration of Russia into several (or several dozen) state entities where war criminals will live. The policy of their leadership may not always favor extraditing to Ukraine those who violated the laws of war, killed and tortured civilians and prisoners.

“Our state needs several things that are far from being on the surface. First of all, it is a public consensus on the need to punish Russian war criminals and their henchmen with Ukrainian passports. Yes, they will also need to be demonstratively punished.”

Obviously, the famous phrase of Golda Meir “Send forth the boys” in the Ukrainian version will sound with the addition of "and the girls". Ukrainian women take a significant part in the defense of the Motherland from the Russian invasion, and they will be able to make a proper contribution to the destruction of war criminals.

The Ukrainian version of "Wrath and Vengeance" will require several mandatory components, because the world is now multipolar, not bipolar, as in the 70s of the XX century. Ukraine is now completing the process of becoming a political nation, so retribution for crimes against its citizens will be extremely important. However, moral qualities alone are not enough in this matter.

Our state needs several things that do not lie on the surface. First of all, it is a public consensus on the need to punish Russian war criminals and their henchmen with Ukrainian passports. Yes, they will also need to be demonstratively punished. Two lists are needed for punishment: red (for Russian criminals) and black (for Russia’s supporters in Ukraine). Actually, the public discussion may only revolve around the colors of these lists. Another important point is the absence of political influence on the compilation and approval of these lists, which implies a strong public trust in the authorities, regardless of who they are, because the process of retribution will obviously be long.

“Let me remind you that Israel relied on the Jewish diaspora in retaliation against the organizers of the terrorist attack in Munich (and not only in this). It is branched and has influence in many countries of the world. Can we say the same about the Ukrainian one? Unfortunately, no.”

Constant significant, but non-public, funding will be needed. The European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine will not be implemented with the State Budget article "for the punishment of those guilty of war crimes", we must realize this. Therefore, the presence of a "magic wallet" that will finance the prosecution of war criminals is basically the main condition.

Let me remind you that Israel relied on the Jewish diaspora in retaliation against the organizers of the terrorist attack in Munich (and not only in this). It is branched and has influence in many countries of the world. Can we say the same about the Ukrainian one? Unfortunately, no. Therefore, it is necessary now to use this situation to restore and develop contacts with Ukrainians in all parts of the world, to form a unified state policy toward them.

The issue of trust is not about a person or a political force, but about trust, as is. The Israelis have been searching for terrorists and destroying them for more than 20 years, and I doubt that the Ukrainian "hunters for Russian war criminals" will be able to do it faster. Therefore, this option, of course, requires society to keep maturing and consolidating around the national interests of Ukraine.

Instead of an afterword:  I want to add that Israel will never recognize its own extrajudicial actions against those who have harmed its interests. Ukraine should learn from it, and in the news, there will only be reports about the "strange death" of certain anti-heroes of the Russian-Ukrainian war. I suppose we will not wait long until it starts happening.
