Ukrainian troops will use "Russian Lend-Lease" as invaders abandon their equipment
Ukrainian military encounters remnants of Russian equipment while advancing in the south, although Russian occupying forces managed to ferry a lot of weapons to the left bank of the Dnipro river
Nataliya Humenyuk, head of the joint press center of the Southern Defense Forces, reports live on the United TV marathon.
"Equipment is there, and we come across its remains, advancing through the territories. Of course, we account for all this unexpected "Russian Lend-Lease". There is not much of it, because they have been trying to withdraw this equipment for a long time (and we talked about it) under cover, including civilian population", Humenyuk said.
According to her, Russians took away equipment, in particular, during so-called evacuation of local population, when they pretended to care about people, but in reality they were disguised as civilians and dragged equipment to the left bank of Dnipro through alternative crossings - using barges and pontoons.
"These were slow processes, but long-lasting. So they managed to transfer certain part of equipment to the left bank, and we have an understanding of how much it is there. But a part was left. We are currently accounting for it to be used in the reverse order", Humenyuk added.
Meanwhile, Russian ministry of defense reported that "today (November 11, - ed.) at 5 o'clock in the morning Moscow time, transfer of units of Russian troops to the left bank of Dnipro river was completed in the Kherson area".
"Not a single unit of military equipment and weapons has been left on the right bank. All Russian servicemen have crossed over to the left bank of Dnipro river. More than 30,000 Russian servicemen, about 5,000 units of weapons and military equipment, as well as material property, have been brought to the left bank of Dnipro river", the ministry assured.
