Ukrainian fighter explains Russia’s logistics shift in Bakhmut sector
Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade, notes that Russia has shifted its logistical burden and is using the Popasna - Bakhmut and Soledar - Bakhmut routes more intensively
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"If we look at the enemy's logistics links, there are several of them in the Bakhmut direction. To the south is the Horlivka - Bakhmut highway, where we have constantly kept the occupiers busy. Beyond Horlivka, there is another road of more local importance, Semyhirya - Kodema, from where there were branches to Zaitseve, Klishchiivka, and Kurdyumivka. From time to time, we also reached this section of the Semyhirya-Kodema road a little bit. So the enemy's logistical burden has shifted. Next is the road from Debaltseve, which is less safe for Russian troops. Popasna - Bakhmut and Soledar - Bakhmut are relatively safe for them," said the spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Lieutenant General Roman Dashkevych.
Oleh Kalashnikov noted that Russian forces are currently using these two directions more than the routes to the south, as Ukrainian troops have fewer opportunities to reach them with their weapons.
- On September 15, Ukrainian troops took control of the villages of Klishchiivka and Andriivka south of Bakhmut.
- On September 24, Eastern Direction spokesman Illya Yevlash said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had taken fire control of the Bakhmut-Horlivka road, which Russian troops use for logistics.
