Ukrainian border guards destroy Wagner PMC mercenary group in Bakhmut industrial zone

Ukraine's State Border Service reported this. 

“A border guard unit of the Luhansk detachment fought a positional battle with enemy forces in the area of an industrial enterprise. The day before, Ukrainian defenders had withstood several assault attacks by the invaders. To continue the offensive, Russian mercenaries entrenched themselves in one of the workshops and accumulated forces,” the State Border Service reported. 

Border guards launched a counterattack to destroy the Wagner Group's cell. The soldiers used an SPG-9 grenade launcher to kill a machine gunner who was covering the approach to the structure. A ground reconnaissance group of border guards broke through and eliminated the terrorists.

“To defeat the enemy's reserve, the border guards set up an ambush. As darkness fell, a surprise awaited the stormtroopers, who were approaching the frontline. The border guards' snipers neutralized six occupants,” the statement said.
