Russians haven't yet laid rails on bridge: Mariupol official on railroad to Volnovakha
Petro Andriushchenko, advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, says that when the Russians lay the rails on the bridge, it will take a couple of weeks at most before the railroad is fully operational, given the military situation
He said this on Espreso.
"As for the railroad in the direction of Volnovakha, which was launched by the invading forces, there were many misunderstandings due to the Russians' interpretation, because this railroad was working before.
But recently there was the first test train that left the port and reached Volnovakha. That is, in the test mode of freight transportation, this is the first train ever. Before that, we also observed a train leaving and entering the port from Volnovakha. This is actually a preparation for the full launch of the military logistics and freight direction, if they eventually manage to crash into this branch.
As of today, the state of affairs is such that the under-granite bridge has been completed, and railroad tracks are lying nearby. A little to the north, the Russian troops are already laying rails. The bridge itself has not been laid yet," commented the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol.
Petro Andriushchenko noted that when the Russians lay the rails on the bridge, it will take a couple of weeks at most before the railroad is fully operational, given the military situation and how it will develop.
- Earlier, the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, reported that active movement of Russian military equipment was recorded in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, as the Russian army is moving weapons to the northern Donetsk region.
