
Ukrainian hackers attack Internet providers, mobile operators in Russia's Tatarstan - media
Cyber specialists of the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate are conducting a large-scale cyberattack on Internet providers and mobile operators in Russian Tatarstan
This is reported by Suspilne, RBC-Ukraine, and NV, citing their own sources in the intelligence service.
The main object of the cyber operation was communication networks in the main economic zone of Alabuga, where more than 30 industries are located, including important defense industry enterprises.
The DDoS attack managed to block the operation of the Internet network, the mobile operator MTS, the largest telecommunications operator PJSC Tattelecom and the regional Ufanet.
"Network users complain about the lack of access to the Internet, web resources and mobile applications. At the same time, some customers report being unable to use mobile applications that control the operation of intercoms in their entrances. Also, users of the attacked providers report malfunctions in Internet messengers," the statement says.
