Russia has had no advances in a week - Ukrainian Armed Forces report on Chasiv Yar situation
Over the past week, the Russian forces have not had a tactical success near Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region. Still, they continue their attempts to capture the settlement
Yuriy Fedorenko, the commander of the Achilles battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, said this on the UP.Chat TV channel.
According to him, Russia is deploying a large number of personnel and equipment to the front and using all the available strike and assault potential it has in the area at the moment.
"Tactically, the enemy is acting as follows: they are trying to take Novyi Chasiv Yar (the area streatching up the water canal) into an operational encirclement, so they are moving: from the top of the village of Bohdanivka, from the bottom - the village of Ivanivka. Over the past week, the enemy has not had any tactical successes, despite the fact that about 30 combat clashes take place in this area every day," explained Fedorov.
At the same time, he emphasized that it is "extremely important for the Russians to get into the town and engage in street fighting." However, so far the Russian troops have not been able to enter Chasiv Yar, fighting continues in the forests surrounding it, and they have not advanced over the past week.
