Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said this, according to Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko.
According to Lubinets, his office has repeatedly appealed to the organization regarding Russia's violation of the principles of neutrality and impartiality.
Dmytro Lubinets also announced his meeting with the IFRC president next week, where he will demand an effective response. In the absence of such a response, he promises to propose a new algorithm of support to the largest donor countries of the Red Cross in the form of directing funds directly to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
- On December 1, 2023, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement suspended the membership of the Belarusian representative office.
- At the same time, on April 30, 2024, it decided not to suspend the membership of the Russian Red Cross despite the violations of the rules of neutrality recorded since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
