Russian army loses 1,270 soldiers, 58 artillery systems and 22 tanks in one day - General Staff

Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported the information.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 22 to May 3, 24 amounted to approximately:

• personnel - about 472,140 (+1,270) people,
• tanks - 7,354 (+22)
• armored fighting vehicles - 14,129 (+33)
• artillery systems - 12,102 (+58) 
• MLRS - 1,053 (+0) 
• air defense systems - 786 (+2) 
• aircraft - 348 (+0) 
• helicopters - 325 (+0) 
• UAVs operational-tactical level - 9,580 (+19),
• cruise missiles - 2,126 (+0),
• ships/boats - 26 (+0) 
• submarines - 1 (+0) 
• vehicles and fuel tanks - 16,266 (+42)
• special equipment - 1,993 (+5).

General Staff's report: 134 combat clashes take place on the frontline: Ukrainian Armed Forces fight off 50 attacks in the Avdiivka direction

The operational situation in the northern Ukrainian border remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed 12 attacks near Novoiehorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times near Hrekivka, Nevske and Serebryanka forestry in the Luhansk region and Terny, Yampolivka and Torske in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers beat back 22 attacks near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Verkhnyokamianske, Rozdolivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Novyi, Klishchiivka and Ivanivske in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 50 attacks near Arkhanhelske, Sokil, Semenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Umanske, Kalynove, Yasnobrodivka, Netailove and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops near Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. The Russian military tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defenses 16 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions twice near Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the invading Russian forces keep on trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the Russian troops made 8 unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions.

Russian army launches 3 missile strikes and 70 air strikes on Ukrainian territory

Over the last day, 134 combat clashes took place. In total, the Russian forces launched 3 missile strikes, 70 air strikes, and  116 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and settlements.

One settlement in the Chernihiv region; 1 settlement in the Sumy region; 3 settlements in the Kharkiv region; 15 settlements in the Donetsk region; 2 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region were hit by air strikes.

Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian defense forces destroy a Russian air defense system and one anti-missile system

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 11 Russian troops' concentrations and an anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian missile troops destroyed 2 Russian forces' ammunition depots, an air defense system, 2 artillery systems and an anti-aircraft missile system.
