Ukrainian Armed Forces will start mastering Patriot system this month - Pentagon

The Pentagon previously stated that the United States is considering the possibility of training Ukrainians on Patriot systems directly in the United States, or abroad, or combining both options.

"I think clearly we’re at a point in this battle where we’re going to be able to provide that kind of training to enable Ukraine to sustain those kind of systems so that they can focus on defending their country and taking back territory," Pentagon press secretary General Pat Ryder said at a press briefing on Thursday.

• The first Patriot battery was handed over to Ukraine by the United States in late December.
• On January 5, Germany joined the initiative and announced the transfer of another Patriot battery to Kyiv.
