Ukrainian Armed Forces use HIMARS to strike Russian command posts - Pentagon.
Ukraine has succeeded in using the salvo fire systems provided to it to target Russia's command posts.
This was stated by a representative of the US Ministry of Defense, CNN reports.
"Ukrainian armed forces have achieved significant success using the HIMARS systems provided to them to impress Russia`s command posts. Ukrainians can now carefully select targets that will undermine Russia's efforts and destroy them more systematically than when they had to fight with shorter-range artillery systems,”noted a senior official of the U.S. defense ministry.
In addition, the official stressed that Russia was well aware that it had hit a shopping center in Kremenchuk, denying Moscow's claims that it was not targeting civilian targets. The Pentagon representative also noted that the missile used in the attack was designed as an anti-ship weapon, so it was not intended for use in human urban conditions.
