Ukrainian Armed Forces' frontline success boosts arguments for US weapons supply - international expert Sherengovsky
There are three factors that affect the supply of American weapons to Ukraine
Dmytro Sherengovsky, an expert on international issues, said this on Espresso.
"The US provides us with absolutely significant support, but in parties. There are several reasons. On the one hand, there are our requests that come in and are considered and then we receive one or another weapon. On the other hand, these are the plans of the Biden administration. The third side is sentiment of the American population, and here the situation is fairly even," he noted.
Sherengovsky spoke about the Harvard University survey.
"Somewhat 50% of the respondents claimed that it is necessary to send weapons to Ukraine, but less than 50% believed that the USA is already doing so much and it is better to concentrate on internal problems. And before the elections in November, the administration should pay attention to this. The better we will explain, and the greater the successes on the battlefield, the more we will give arguments to the side - the party of aid to Ukraine, which supports more supplies. Showing that this is not a hypothetical, but a practical question - when weapons can make this turning point," he concluded.
