Ukrainian air defense destroys 73 Russian air targets, Ukrainian Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 5 populated areas in the last 24 hours 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in the morning briefing on October 11.

"Unsuccessful, Russians launch missile strikes and actively use attack UAVs to damage critical infrastructure and densely populated cities of our country. The enemy is unable to stop the successful counteroffensive of Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kharkiv and Kherson directions, therefore it is trying to intimidate and sow panic among the population of Ukraine" -  the message says.

Mobilization and transfer of Russian reserves also do not provide an opportunity to overcome the resistance of the defenders of Ukraine, the General Staff notes.

Russians launched more than 61 missile and 32 air strikes, and about 92 attacks from multiple missile systems in the last 24 hours.

73 air targets were destroyed by air defense units of Ukraine in different directions, including 46 cruise missiles and 27 unmanned aerial vehicles.

As a result of the massive missile attack on October 10, the infrastructure of more than 30 settlements was damaged. These are, in particular, Kyiv, Lviv, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Pryluky, Nizhyn, Konotop, Kharkiv, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa. Civilian citizens of Ukraine were killed and wounded.

The threat of Russian launching missile strikes on critical infrastructure and peaceful neighborhoods remains.

Also, Russian occupying forces do not stop trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, shell the positions of the Ukrainian troops, focus their efforts on trying to disrupt the counter-offensive actions of the units of Ukrainian Defense Forces, and try to conduct offensive operations in separate directions.

There are no significant changes in the situation in the Volyn and Poliske directions.  According to available information, the leadership of the Republic of Belarus continues to provide support to Russia in the war against Ukraine, giving Russia the opportunity to use the airspace and airfield network to conduct airstrikes on the territory of Ukraine.

"In the indicated directions, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are monitoring the situation, there are no signs of the formation of offensive groups on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the movement of troops, as of 06:00 on October 11 of the current" the message says.

Russians shelled other directions:

in the Seversky direction - from mortars, barrel and jet artillery, in Yanzhulivka, Tymonovichi, Mykhalchyna Sloboda of the Chernihiv Region and Bilopylla and Myropillya of the Sumy Region;  

in the Slobozhansk direction - Yanka, Dvorichna, Stelmakhivka, Borshchova, Sotnytsky Kozachok, Gur'iv Kozachok, Kozacha Lopan, Vilkhuvatka and Chugunivka;

in the Kramatorsk direction - from tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery, along the entire line of contact. In particular, in   Bilogorivka, Grekivka, Novoehorivka, Raihorodok, Pershotravneve, Novolyubivka, Makiivka, Nove, Zarichne, Terny, Serebryanka and Hryhorivkana;

in the Bakhmut direction, Russians inflicted fire damage in Siversk, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Mayorsk, Kurdyumivka  , New York, Krasna Gora, Chasiv Yar, Yakovlivka, Zelenopillya and Odradivka. 

Russians not conduct offensive operations in the Avdiyivka, Novopavliv, and Zaporizhzhia directions.  Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Vodyane, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Nevelske, Zaliznychne, Biloghirya, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Shcherbaki, Novopil, Novomykolaivka, Gulyaipilske, Doronka were shelled by tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery. Temyrivka and Chervone.

In the Southern Bug direction, Russians intensified the shelling from tanks and artillery of various types. Vyshchetarasivka, Novokiivka, Pravdyne, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Lyubomirivka, Shiroke, Kiselyvka, Chervona Dolyna, Blagodativka, Davidiv Brid and Nova Kamianka were shelled.
