Ukraine will launch counteroffensive only when it gets ready for it - NSDC Secretary Danilov
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive only when they are fully prepared for it and receive everything promised by their partners
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview with the Associated Press.
The official said that Ukraine's allies are helping the government reach the level of technical equipment necessary for the attack by delivering heavy armored vehicles and ammunition.
But he also expressed disappointment that sometimes officials from allied countries "promise one thing and do the opposite." He did not specify which countries he was referring to. But he emphasized that "we will not launch a counteroffensive before we are ready."
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine is working around the clock to prepare for the offensive, "including Saturday and Sunday. There are no vacations in war".
"It is only a matter of time. We are getting this time at a very high price," Danilov emphasized.
