Ukraine, US discuss successes and needs of Ukrainian counteroffensive
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has had a phone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, US General Mark Milley
He reported the information on Telegram.
"I shared the operational situation at the frontline. The Ukrainian military continues to conduct active offensive operations. The situation is developing according to the plan, the initiative is in our hands," the message reads.
Zaluzhnyi also noted that he discussed with General Milley the current needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in weapons and ammunition to continue the liberation of Ukrainian territory from Russian occupying forces.
"I expressed my gratitude for the support and assistance, and congratulated him on the US Independence Day, which the American people celebrated earlier. We stay in touch. Together we will win!" the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces added.

On July 6, Lithuanian Statehood Day, President Gitanas Nausėda awarded several Ukrainian officials with state awards, including Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
