Turning point comes: Russians understand that war is not "somewhere over there", Russian army is not that strong - Budanov
A turning point has begun in Russia's war against Ukraine, examples include the recent events in the Russia-occupied Crimea
This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, on the air of the telethon on August 24.
According to him, the Russians began to understand that their troops are not that strong, air defense systems are not that reliable, and the Russian army is actually not capable of protecting the temporarily seized Ukrainian territory.
"They overestimated their army too much. It is not the second army of the world at all, not the second, and not even the fourth. And retribution will come, and the understanding that retribution is coming. This is exactly what comes to people when they personally begin to see and to feel that the war is not somewhere out there, but in them. Therefore, the turning point has already begun", Budanov said.
At the same time, he emphasized that there had been no explosions in the Russia-occupied Crimea before.
